Roger and Fay Oates breathed new life into the idea of flatweave carpets. They developed a production process the results of which are practically indistinguishable from ‘handwoven’ carpet. They also spent over twenty years perfecting their techniques and designs. The reinvention of the Venetian Flatweave was the first in a series of experiments with colours, patterns and textures, which eventually resulted in a unique, ever-increasing collection, currently comprising more than 125 designs.
